Today was about the fill up.
For the next six days we will give out. We prayed, shared, and sang together. We strangers became a tight team and we did it in one day.
Gathering around the blonde foundation stones of the second temple, we grafted-in ones prayed beside local ladies.
“Excuse me,” asked a Jewish woman wearing her Shabbat best blue dress for her weekly prayer time. “Who are you and why are you here?” She asked it gently.
The sun had just inched below the top of the buildings that lay to the courtyard’s west. It cast a shadow over the dimpled Jerusalem paving stones.
“We are here to serve,” replied my team mate. “We represent millions of Christ who love and pray for Israel. We stand with you.”
The woman allowed her tears to run.
Then she said, “thank you.”
