Transition week is critical.
We are in a kind of no-woman’s land. We have not conducted a short term mission but we also have not been living full time abroad. High concrete walls line both sides of Monday to Friday. Barbed wire curled atop ensures that all trespassers will be shot. The grassless middle section is where we are. It is long and narrow. Not a welcoming place, but it is one where the past and the future collide.
