Druze artist, Sam Halaby, invited us to sing at his Saturday art Expo. We didn’t know him - at all. In fact, we had never met a Druze. The connection came through an Israeli Russian friend. Mark and I have a personal philosophy of, ‘say yes’, to musical invitations.
Yes - even the mysterious ones. So, on Shabbat morning we headed north at a trafficless speed. We stopped to pick up local music-mates, Dionysis and Eliana. Then we drove Hwy. 2 in the direction of Haifa and Mount Carmel.
