I think of her this morning. I think of him.

She is the beautiful grandmother of Alon. Our smiles are fake. There were tears only moments before. We met and talked for a while this summer.

Curly blonde Alon, who is a pianist too, is a hostage murderously abducted by Hamas on October 7th. He’s so young.

Will he be among the 11?

That’s the pitiful number thrown out by hostage negotiators this week. Hamas gets 100 prisoners, Israeli’s get only 11 of more than 100 in who knows what condition. That’s only a proposal at this writing.
