“Well, the country is still very much in the middle of the war. We have two very fragile ceasefires, but still dealing with Yemen and Iran directly at times. President Trump coming into office seems to have boosted the morale in Israel. But the loses of soldiers, including a few in the believing communities, has been a big hit. Congregation attendance has been down for most groups. Really no tourists yet, so the economy is greatly impacted. They also raised taxes for the war. Some families have left the country during this time for safety reasons. We still have almost 100,000 families displaced. So I would say the mood is tired, stressed, traumatized and still waiting to hear a plan for a solution to Gaza and the West Bank.”
